Nadsat within clock work orage
Nadsat is a new form of russian and english language, created by Burgess. As clock work orage is a violent novel, this language is used to describe rape scenes in order to create a muffin between the reader and the book itself, nevertheless if the reader learns the language, the details and the novel as a whole will be understood completely.
Nadsat is used by the teenagers at the story in order to make the reader easy to identify young from elder characters and to contrast maturity among them. This is highlited when Pete, one of Alex’s droogs, reappears at the end of the novel with a child and a woman to look after, and when Alex talks in nadsat he laughs at it, because he has matured and for him someone that still uses nadsat to comunicate seems childish in a way.
Nevertheless nadsat was created and is used in order to create a link between Alex, which is the principle character, with the readers, in order to make the relationship more casual, eventhough it was created to make the character look more studied, because the nadsat language covers the cliché and sparage language.
