Are estereotipes shaping the society or is society shaping estereotipes?

In the last years the fake industry has become as big as some high end companies were half a decade ago, starting to take big companies to bankrupt or forcing them to sell their products in a cheap cost and as colateral damage devaluating their originality and design. But why did all this happen?
New generations have consumism and status as a proriety, almost in their DNA code, which takes every member that was borned in the late 90´s trying to show that he or she has got enough bank funds to foot the bill for such expensive products, nevertheless this dream woudn´t be folowed if it didn´t give them recognition and power.
People with low self steem is convinced that people with good economic level has the right to treat them worse than trash, also they strive to be their friends because they think they are kind of artists, and actually they are alike because they are as empty as they are, just carying about their physical aspect instead of taking care of both, and I´m not being strict because I´m not asking for intelligence.
I used to think that typical estereotipe of the american movie didn´t happened (you know what I´m talking about, the queen bee dating the most handsome and the number one of the football team of the highschool), but actually it does happen, the most handsome guy will never date a girl who isn´t popular, pretty and envied by others, because now a days society only cares about appearances.
This emptiness has taken society to make challenges in order to show the world your physical beautiness as “A4 Waist Challenge”, the “Kylie Jenner Lip Challenge” or the “Don´t Judge Challenge”, all these were invented to make others (the ugly ones, according to estereotipes) feel accepted, but far from achieving this purpose, the effect was the opposite, leading to think that those who have some flaws aren´t pretty and worth it.

Estereotipes have taken society to its limits, making the human beings more contemptible than what they already are by nature, but also they have helped to restate that the human race is the only animal that kills its own race without being in need.

  1. Well done. Great topic for discussion! You make some very valid points. Work on your sentence structure and watch your spelling: 'stereotypes', 'esteem' ...
