Second Period Project

The project is due Friday, April 8, 2 pm. It is to be printed and handed in to me. It is to be chosen from the following options:

1. Write a different ending for The Man in the High Castle by Phillip K. Dick.  It must be at least 800 words in length.  The writing style of the creative piece should reflect that of the author. Pay attention to the tone, diction, setting and characters.
2. Write an argumentative essay on the relationship between "free-will," violence and control.  Base your argument on Part 1 of A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess. The essay must be at least 800 words in length.
3. Discuss Alex's theory of the self and good vs evil, then answer the question at the end of the following quote from A Clockwork Orange. Do you agree? Why or why not? The essay must be at least 800 words in length.
