The
Key of Happiness
Everyone’s purpose
in life is to be happy!!!! You wake up in the morning, have breakfast, go to
work, go back home from work, have dinner, go back to sleep and repeat, every
single day of your life, but you should be happy about that because that’s your
purpose in life. Are you kidding me? Who for God’s sake told us that crap?
Everyone keeps telling us “you must be happy”, “you should be successful in life”,
“you are supposed to finish high school, graduate from college, find a job, get
married, have children, live in the suburbs, get old in there with your loved ones
and die”, but… what if I don’t do dose things?, what if I never achieve
anything great and remarkable?, why do I have to be happy and how can I be
happy? The fact that everyone keep telling us that, program our minds to get in
an eternal quest to find our happiness, quest which, in my opinion, get us
everything but achieving our happiness.
Why? Well, everyone has the thinking that “If
you want it, life will give to you”, well that’s not how the life works, sure
we have a great power in things, if we do things right, is more likely good
things happens to us, if we do things wrong, is more likely bad things happen
to us. But there are people that have never smoked in his life and get cancer
while there are people that smokes every single day and nothing ever happens to
them. Things don’t work as you want them to do, and since there’s the popular
thinking that if you ask for something it will be given to you, when things don’t
go as you planned you get depressed and blame life for being cruel with you,
you cry and think your life is miserable and you are not capable of anything.
Well let me give you a piece of advice, if life doesn’t gives you what you
want, take it by yourself. Life sometimes is unfair, life is not easy, life will test you
in countless ways and make you want to give up, but you must stop feeling pity
for yourself, stop being miserable, get up on your feet and fight for what you
want and deserve.
I hate when
people is annoyingly happy and do everything to make others happy, when much of
the times is, as I said, annoying.
Everyone has the right to be happy, not the obligation. Happiness is not a
must, is an option, a great one, but still an option. Also everyone has a
different concept of happiness, and not because some people are always serious they
are unhappy. Every single person sees the world differently and has a different
point of view about things, confronting life obstacles in different ways, some
people see the glass half full, other half empty, and others just don’t really
seem to care about how full or empty the glass is, they drink the water and
sell the glass. My point is, if we keep living our life in an eternal chase of happiness,
we’ll get frustrated every time we don’t get it, getting us further of our
goals every time. Instead, we should go out to the world and live our life as
it goes, enjoying every moment, fighting for what you want, setting goals and
reach them and set even higher goals every time, and happiness will come to you
by itself.
Great post! I really like the topic. ... my two cents ... find happiness in the little things that you do and not attach happiness to any of the so-called achievments. Some of your sentences run a little too long and you have some lexical errors. But well done!
