XX Century Genocide

During the history of humanity, thousands of conflicts have occured. At the American continent, all the indians, aztecs, incas and all the tribus that lived in an estable harmony, where put under the power and control of the European. He have the same examples on Africa and Asia where millions of people suffered working as slaves and making favors which had no sense. During the next years, other people where killed and obligated to do impossible works. I am talikng about the negros at the south part of the USA working on cotton fields while in the south part of Mexico, natives where suffering working on henequen fields. As these examples, there are several mores but in this essay I will just talk about the ones during the XX Century.

At the beggining of the century, before the First World War, the Ottoman goverment started an extermination of Armenian subjects through what today is known as Turkey Republic. The number of victims goes aorund 800,000 to 1.5 million. It all started at Constantinopla the 24 of April 1915, where 250 armenian intellectuals and comunity leaders where murdered. Along the empire, Amenians such as Assyrians and Greeks where deportated to other places and murdered at the Syrian dessert. Some interesting fact is that the Turkey Republic does not recognize these actions and say they are not a genocide, the other interesting point is that Adolf Hitler got the idea of the Shoá (Jew Genocide) from this event.

Holodomor which means "kill by starvation" describes the genocide at the Soviet Union during the years 1932 and 1933. At the Ukranian Soviet Socialist Republic, thousands of ukranians disagree with Stalin´s government system, they did not want to work and be productive to the nation. People not producing sufficient food and grains, were the one who will not eat. Like nobody worked, the hunger affected the hole ukranian poblation. The effect of these actions are the death 7.5 million persons. Nowadays, Ukraine and other 14 countries including México, recognize this event as a genocide caused by the Soviet Union.

Right below us at the south, we can talk about the Ayacucho Massacre. This event happened between the 1980 and 2000, a terrorist group called "Sendero Luminoso (45%)" ended up with 69,820 lives. Their target were "Indígenas Quechuhablantes" who had no rights to live. As this etnical group had no electricity or way to comunicate with the world, they were an easy target to show how powerful this terrorist group was. Nowadays the Peruvian Republic tries to hide this historical event but the indigenas will tell the truth to the world.

As this events, there are several more, we have the famous one, I mean the Shoá or the Holocaust which was planned by the Nazis and ended up with 11 million lives; at Africa, the Rwanda Genocide killed 800,000 persons no matter age or sex. This one for me was the worst because it was a conflict fighted with machetes. At the south of México, in Guatemala, the government made an ethnic cleansing where mayan people where chased, 669 slaughter killed 200,000 people and left 45,000 missing others. In Asia, Camboya suffered a great genocide where Kampuchea Democrática took the power and obligated people to work as slaves on the fields, the ones who died were burned and someone else took his place.

In conclusion we can say that the human being is his own wolf. Everybody is killing the other one without noticing that if they helped each others, everyone will have a bright future. Huh, how stupid I am to think that, I just remembered helping other does not bring the same earnings as killing them. I will just leave an interesting fact around here "The budget spent on the Iraq war could have ended up world hunger for the next 30 years" Yes, it is true, but ending with hunger is not a great business as  starting a war. What really bothers is the reaction of people when 137 French die and their reaction when thousands of Syrians such as Mexicans or Iraki die. I know that media plays a great role in the information given to the people, but come on; if you really care for humanity and would like to help others, you would simply not value more a life than the other jut becuase they are different countries or have different skin color. You help everybody or you help anybody, you decide.
